Half-life
Half-Life Visualizer
Visualize the theoretical mathematical decline of a user-entered amount over time.
The chart is a simplified mathematical model based only on the half-life entered by the user. It does not account for absorption, bioavailability, active metabolites, individual physiology, nonlinear kinetics or clinical effects. It is not a dosing recommendation or medical advice.
Inputs
mcg
- Starting amount is zero, so every point will be zero.
- Half-life must be greater than zero.
- Visualization duration must be greater than zero.
- Graph interval must be greater than zero.
Results
Enter a half-life, a visualization duration, a graph interval and a starting amount to see the model.
How the model works
- Single entry: remaining = starting amount × 0.5^(elapsed ÷ half-life)
- Repeated entries: total at time t = Σ entry amount × 0.5^((t − entry time) ÷ half-life)
- Entries dated later than the point being drawn contribute zero.
- One half-life leaves 50%, two leave 25%, three leave 12.5%.
Educational reference only. The Lab Rat Tools does not recommend amounts, schedules, or protocols. Independently verify every result before relying on it. Calculations run entirely in your browser and no entries are stored or transmitted.
